University of Bath - New Student Hub
- Client: University of Bath
- Location: Bath
- Role: Architect, Interior Designer
Our Architectural and Interior Teams combined to provide the design inspiration and technical detailing for the creative conversion of the former Bath City Police Station into a Collaborative Learning Hub for students. The scheme involved remodelling heavy-duty police cells, interview, public enquiry and administrative spaces to provide study areas, group working spaces, dining, cafeteria and ancillary uses. The newly converted space offers students and staff a welcoming off-campus experience in a central location.
Refurbishment, conversion and retrofit expertise is underpinned by our long-standing history of delivering projects of this nature aided by our blend of creative design and technical skills from our 1 Team solution. Drawing on the expertise of Building Surveyors, Architectural Technologists, Interior Designers and Architects ensures that skill sets align with the many complex variations associated with existing buildings to achieve optimal results.
Interestingly, we provided design and project management services for numerous refurbishment and upgrade schemes during its tenure as a Police Station, and we are proud to have played a part in the building's history.
