New Custody Suite - Bournemouth

We designed a modern custody facility linked to the existing Bournemouth Divisional Headquarters.

The scheme included thirty-four cells as well as police interview, detainee processing facilities and office accommodation. We worked closely with the Home Office to meet standards of fire safety, environmental control, surveillance and security.

The new entrance and reception area has a signature entrance canopy and is accessed from the newly formed public realm in the heart of the site. The building's arrangement provides a clearly defined relationship between visitor and detainee facilities so activities and procedures can be securely and efficiently managed.
