Currently looking at the School of Chemistry, University of Bristol project

We were appointed as Architect and Interior Designer for the extensive refurbishment of the School of Chemistry.  The redevelopment was carried out in three main phases in order to minimise the use of temporary accommodation and keep the building open and operational.

South Wing: The refurbishment of a five-storey 1960s laboratory building including structural frame repairs, rainscreen and insulated render overcladding and the replacement of old windows with high-performance solar control double-glazing.

West Wing: A major intervention to a 1960s block involving extensive re-cladding, re-rendering and re-roofing and substantial internal remodelling to provide two floors of new laboratories, a new roof-level plant room, improved vertical circulation and new support accommodation.

Infill: The link between the West and South wings was redeveloped to provide new seminar rooms and a large common room with ancillary accommodation.
