Kendall Kingscott’s Charity Fundraiser

On Sunday 12th June we hosted a Charity Fundraiser at Castle Combe Racetrack to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The primary aim was to complete as many laps of the track as possible to help raise money for our chosen charity.  Human power was the only rule and we managed to complete a total of 687 laps using a selection of methods including bikes, scooters, space hopper, crutches and walking.  Each lap of the track equates to 1.85miles meaning our total distance travelled reached 1,270.95 miles!

There is a more serious reason for undertaking this challenge.  At the beginning of 2012 we sadly lost one of our colleagues due to sudden illness and in 2015 two more of our colleagues were directly affected by cancer.

Our previous Charity Fundraiser in 2012 raised over £5,000 and this year we are aiming higher – hoping to exceed both the distance travelled and the total raised.

So far we have managed to raise a staggering £4,293.00!
