Jurassic Coast Adventure

04/10/2016

The team battled through some very challenging weather conditions with heavy rain and wind for the first five hours of the trek across the cliffs of Portland and into Weymouth. Spirits remained high however, and thankfully we were greeted by beautiful sunshine to finish the walk and dry out some of our sodden clothes!

A huge well done to all the team, who did fantastically well over what was some particularly challenging climbs, especially the last gruelling 6 miles of continuous ascent and descent into Lulworth Cove. Two water damaged phones and some extremely aching legs later, we were delighted to have completed the 26 miles walk in support of a great charity.

Julia’s house is the only children’s hospice charity in Dorset and Wiltshire dedicated to helping life-limited children and their families across both counties, with the majority of the children they care for unlikely to live beyond the age of 18.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all those who have supported us in our efforts - it was your donations that kept us walking on! The money raised with your support, could provide up to 18 children with a morning of specialist care in one of Julia’s House’s dedicated hospices.

If some of the images from our trek inspire you to make a donation you can still do so via our just giving page below:
