New Learning & Research Centre

We formed part of the Contractor's design team during construction for the creation of a new Learning and Research Centre at Southmead hospital to provide CAT 2 teaching and research facilities and office space for the University of Bristol, as well as a new Regional Quality Control Laboratory for the Trust for use by pharmaceutical departments across the South West.

The four storey L&R Centre is an extension to an existing building on the hospital site and required internal refurbishment and reordering of the existing structure to best incorporate the new facilities which include a full height atrium, a new cafe and administration and research offices.

The facility was designed to meet BREEAM Excellent.
