Currently looking at the Faraday Halls Refurbishment project

Kendall Kingscott were appointed to commence a rolling programme of refurbishments for the on campus student accommodation at Brunel University’s Uxbridge Campus. The first phase included the Faraday Halls, a cluster of 1980’s constructed residential blocks, totalling 279 student bedrooms with associated communal kitchens, social spaces and some shared showering and washing facilities.

Brunel University required all the existing accommodation to be refurbished to the same standard. Kendall Kingscott were instrumental in establishing this standard through close consultation with the in-house residence team, students and the Brunel maintenance department. From this a ‘Standards Design Guide’ was developed from which specifications have been formulated and developed.

Through the phases of this challenging programme we performed the role of Lead Consultant and Building Surveyor while our in house Interior Designers provided space planning and interior proposals and developed scheme specifications and drawings.
